“The questioning allows us to dig deep into the Torah portion and make the aliyot personal. Excellent strategy to include everyone.”

Registration & Financial Info

How To Register

You can find the registration links in the calendar of upcoming events. All of our registration is done online through RegFox, a registration portal. All of your transactions are securely made through their BBB-approved website. Payment options include debit/credit card and check. Having trouble with the Registration form? Email Liat Melnick, Retreat and Programs Manager at liatm@jewishspirituality.org.

Who Can Register

Some retreats are open to everyone, and our cohort programs are open to those who have applied and been accepted (generally our 1.5 – 2 year programs). Hevraya programming is only open to graduates of our professional cohorts. Retreats marked as “Open Enrollment” are open to the public – which includes lay people, professionals, and graduates of our cohorts.

Retreat Pricing

Different programs have different pricing structures. In order to help every person attend an Institute retreat at a fee they are able to pay, we try to provide multiple pricing options with the hopes that we’ve accommodated most people. We assign particular rooms with mobility needs in mind and with no preference given to price paid.

Note that our retreat fees only account for the the cost of room and board, so if you can afford to give an additional donation on our donation page, this will go far to help defray the other costs we incur in order to create the retreats we run — this includes staff time, retreat supplies, photocopying costs, and more. On average, the price you see at registration has already been subsidized about 50% by the incredible individual and institutional donors who provide monetary support for the work we do.

Payment Methods

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and check payments. Credit and debit card transactions are processed securely through our registration system, and checks may be made out to “Institute for Jewish Spirituality” and mailed to: Institute for Jewish Spirituality, 121 West 27th Street, Suite 404, New York, NY  10001. For those who pay for a retreat or program by check, payment must be received within 21 days of your registration in order to confirm your attendance.

Cancellation Policy

Our cancellation policy for retreats is a full refund minus a $100 cancellation fee, if cancelling within 2-3 weeks of the start of the retreat. Each retreat has its own particular cancellation policy with exact dates for cancellation with and without a refund, so please check the event registration page and your confirmation email for your retreat’s specific cancellation policy. Any fees that are refunded due to a cancellation will be paid by check.
